Alia Water Pty Ltd has released its new range of single-phase powered Drinking Water plants.
The three new models utilising our patented Rapid Catalytic Oxidation process with outputs of 20, 33 and 50 litres per minute will provide low cost groundwater treatment to the highest drinking water standards. Heavy metals removal, pH correction and colour and taste correction in a small, lightweight, portable skid-mounted unit. What is a metalloid?A metalloid is a small group of elements with properties of both metals and nonmetals and includes arsenic, silicone, carbon, germanium, antimony and phosphorous.
Can Alia treat water for drinking?
Yes Alia provides water treatment technologies to treat water to any standard. This means drinking water standards and advanced water treatment for food, beverage and pharmaceutical preparation and medical applications.
What other technologies does Alia provide?

I am looking to attach an additional component to complement the operation of my existing plant, do Alia provide retrofit units?
Yes, Alia water treatment plants cater to almost all types of applications. At Alia we manufacture retrofit plants to complement the operation of existing water treatment units.
Do Alia water treatment plants come in mobile units?
Yes, at Alia we have specialised in mobile treatment plant for rapid transport and mobilisation.
What level can Alia treat water to?
We can treat water to any standard of quality required.
However, we do not treat water with pure organic load such as sewerage and do not treat water with excessive salts (sea water). For pure organic load typical process is biological treatment and for sea water typical treatment is reverse osmosis (desalination plants). We may use such treatment processes in combination with other processes but not in isolation.
Can RCO be combined with other treatment technologies to treat water matrixes with multiple contaminants?
Yes, Alia WTPs can provide one or more processes in the same unit for example clarification, metal removal and pH correction can all be combined into a single WTP.
In addition the plants can be added onto other existing water treatment plants for example an arsenic removal plant module can be added onto an existing drinking water treatment plant.
What we don’t do?
Alia does not treat organic contaminants using biological treatment (basic sewerage treatment).
Alia does not treat seawater treatment or manufacture desalination plants.
Although the technology can be partnered with an existing water treatment process to provide more comprehensive and or more efficient treatment of contaminated water.
Does Alia engage academics for collaboration and research?
Yes, Alia is always interested in exploring possibilities with universities for further research and collaboration.
Alia has worked previously with a number of WA universities in testing and validating RCO and is currently engaged with a number of Melbourne universities and the CSIRO in academic collaboration.
